Outside Interactive is a Boston based developer of patented forward motion technology called Virtual Runner. Virtual Runner works with an iPad, PC, laptop or Tablet device and any treadmill. It is an interactive running simulator which displays marque races, scenic courses and popular running routes shot from a runner’s point of view using state of the art videography techniques for interactive treadmill running. This technology allows the video to interact at the runner’s exact pace.
Our goal is to partner with marquee race events for race day filming of their course. This allows entrants to train for their event before race day or relive their race day experience. It also allows for remote participation if the event has sold out or if an entrant is geographically challenged.It is important to note that we do not interfere with the runners or event in ANY way.
